PASSERIFORMES: Turdidae
Zoothera lunulata
Months ago in the subdued light of the Maiala National Park rainforest a Bassian Thrush very kindly presented itself for a photo.
Friend Geoff with his Canon 400D took half a dozen decent photos before the bird disappeared again back into the undergrowth.
I had taken no photos - my camera was still trying to focus. This was the deciding moment for me to take the plunge and upgrade my camera to a DSLR.
I now have a Canon 40D with a 100-400 telephoto zoom which has much better focussing accuracy and speed and now at last I have a Bassian Thrush.
